Koala Playschool sessions are run in four ten week terms that align with the school year and the ACT Department of Education school holidays.
 

To be eligible for an offer of placement, your child must be 3 years of age or be turning 3 prior to 30th April in their year of attendance. Children under 3 who are offered placement at Koala Playschool must be accompanied by a parent or carer until their 3rd birthday.

Children who turn 5 before the 30th April in the year of their attendance are not eligible to attend.

Terms and Conditions​

1. Fees for 2027 are $85.00 per day and are charged weekly, one week in advance.

2. Families claiming the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) are legally obligated to provide accurate and up to date information. Please note that providing false or misleading information to a childcare provider constitutes a serious offence under Commonwealth law

3. The administration fee of $250 is non-refundable.

4. Fees are invoiced and charged weekly. (Invoiced Tuesdays & charged Thursdays through Xap)

5. Fees are compulsory, not voluntary. Failure to pay fees will result in loss of placement.

6. A minimum of four week’s notice in writing is required if you decide you no longer require a place prior to the start of Term 1. No refunds will be given if notice is given within four week’s of term 1 starting.

7. A minimum of two week's notice in writing is required if your child leaves Koalas at any time after the beginning of term 1. If notice is given during in a holiday period your bond fee will be forfeited as payment for the first two week's of the following term. No refunds are provided if your child leaves during Term 4.

8. Parents/carers participation in roster duty is a condition of acceptance. Shifts are between 9:30am and 12:15pm or between 12:00am and 2:45pm. The number of shifts you are required to perform depend of which session your child attends: 
   -Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday session – 3 shifts per term (on different days) 
   -Thursday/Friday session – 2 shifts per term (on different days)

9. Children attending Koala Playschool must be fully toilet trained. However, it is understood that accidents can occur with children of this age.

Note: We are dedicated to making our services affordable to our valued families and are in the process of applying for the Child Care Subsidy (CSS). We hope to offer Koala families the CCS subsidy in 2027. Once we are successful in applying for CCS, we will update our website to reflect this.
